Lee Green rises

Lee Green Lives is a community organisation that aims to bring life back to our local shopping centre. We now have a growing and thriving list of activities and we are always looking for more people to join in. Click on the headings below or the sidebar for more details of what's happening.

An exercise class, with seated exercises, suitable for all older adults (60+) whatever your level of fitness and mobility. Every Tuesday from 10.30-11.30am
The Leegate Knitters group meets every Wednesday from 2-4pm at the Leegate Community Centre. All levels of knitters are welcome.
Activities for young people aged 12 19 years.
Friday 6.15-8.30 pm
Saturday 4.30-6.30 pm
Written a book or thinking about writing one? Learn how to publish it in digital and print form.
Mondays 10-12.00 am.
Learn to use your sewing machine. Beginners welcome. Wednesdays 11.00 am-1.00 pm.
Coffee Cake & Company, a free drop-in with activities and refreshments, run by Lorraine Spencerley and Lee Fairshare. Mondays 1.30pm -3.00pm
Indian dance class for young girls and teenagers. Meets on Sunday mornings 10.00am to 1.00pm
For absolute beginners or users who want to develop their skills. You can learn to use the internet, word processing and how to email.

Come along and join us to experience the ancient arts of Tai Chi and Qi Gong. Wednesday evenings 7.30pm 8.30pm

After many years of decline, there are firm proposals to redevelop the Leegate Shopping Centre. While there may be need for a large retailer, there are serious concerns about the current proposals which, the Group believes, will not deliver the wished-for mix of retail, housing and other activities in a vibrant community hub. We will keep you posted on developments.
